Water + abrasive

Water that
gives form.

Cold cutting

The force is in the jet.
The meaning — in the part.

SIA «Kuģu inženieris» offers abrasive waterjet cutting of sheet materials on a CNC-controlled BÖHLER machine. The material is processed by a concentrated water jet — with abrasive for hard materials and a pure water jet for softer ones.

One of the main advantages of this technology: the material is not thermally affected during cutting. No heat-affected zone is formed, and the risk of distortion is reduced. This is especially important for stainless steel and aluminium.

We can cut practically anything that can be shown on a technical drawing — any material, any contour, any size and any quantity.

What we cut

Not only
a straight line.

The machine processes materials up to 2000 × 3000 mm and from 0.1 to 250 mm thick. For hard materials — a water jet with abrasive. For softer ones — a pure water jet.

  2. 02
    Aluminium and plastics

No thermal distortion. Technical forms from a drawing.

  3. 03
    Rubber, paranite, wood, stone

Gaskets, seals, letters, décor and mosaic elements.

  4. 04

Internal openings, lettering and blanks for further machining.

Questions

From a question
to a clear job.

What should we send to discuss the price?

A drawing or sketch with dimensions, material, thickness, quantity and preferred deadline. If there is no drawing yet — describe the idea.

What thickness and accuracy can you provide?

Waterjet cutting: up to 250 mm thick, area up to 2000 × 3000 mm, accuracy to 0.1 mm. Specific tolerances depend on the material, geometry and the job.

Which materials can be cut?

Metal, stainless steel, aluminium, plastics, rubber, paranite, wood, stone, composites and other sheet materials.

Is the material thermally damaged?

No. Abrasive waterjet cutting is a cold-cutting process — no heat-affected zone is formed.

Is further machining possible after cutting?

Yes — CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, welding, grinding and polishing. Several processes in one place.

From idea to delivery

Everything starts
with your drawing.

  1. 01

    Show the idea

Prepare a drawing or sketch. Include the material, dimensions and the number of parts needed.

  2. 02

    Discuss the details

Get in touch so we can assess manufacture, machining and the project requirements.

  3. 03

    Agree the job

Before production we agree the scope, price and delivery time.

  4. 04

    Receive the result

We agree collection of the finished parts and the next steps if further machining is needed.

Next step

Your idea deserves
a concrete form.

Send a drawing or tell us what you want made. We will start with a conversation about the project.
